The Spider in the Flower

The only two feelings  That the soul remembers  Are the flower that is love and  The spider of abandonment  Both permanent fixtures  Endless and painful  There can be no love Without a web of loss Everyone wants  That exquisite flower  And the spider  Preys on that fact We will all end up  Loved and left You can’t reconcile One without the other
