Pocket Lint

You keep picking me up and
Putting me back in your pocket

For safe keeping
On another day

But your pocket liner
Has become thin and frayed

From the scratching claws
Of those in your collection

So it was easy
To chew myself free

You don’t even realize
That I am gone

The weight of the other women
Will hide the loss
