Winter Storm's Dark Angel

When a winter storm meets a dark angel
Tears will burn her face again
The dry creek beds of old crying rivers
Spill forth once more
The flood washing away
His lingering remnants

She places her gun in his hands
It is no surprise when
She's the one to take the bullet
Droplets of her bloodied spirit
Splatter the walls of her
Self created prison

He would never break her heart
Just stuck his finger
Deep into the wound
Reopening it
Destined for disaster from the first lie
She will not blow up his balloon
At the expense of deflating her own

When a winter storm
Collides with a dark angel
They morph and as she leaves
A fallen winter angel
He remains in his own dark storm

Back to where she was
A melancholy Queen of ice
With a heart so freezer burnt
It will taste like disappointment forever
