Ornament
I used to be the first ornament
That you’d want to put on the tree
Unlike mass produced boxed hair dye
You’ll only find one of me
Through the years
I’ve lost some luster and shine
Have gotten some nicks on the glass
Of this bauble so divine
Then there was the year
Figaro knocked the whole tree down
The cat had a great time
But it’s no fun being tossed to the ground
Soon I’ll be considered vintage
A rarity you don’t see too much
When I’m found at the thrift store
I’ll be too unique to pass by untouched
