Zircon Crystals
The oldest piece of the Earth
Are zircon crystals
4.4 billion years old and
Twice the width of a human hair
But I have been here longer
This tapestry of blue veins
Creeping down my aging legs
Has navigated eternity
I saw you there once
Our stardusts have
Dipped and swayed
Through many a universe together
You may never see
What I look like in the snow
What color the cold air
Turns my cheeks
You might never see
How electric green
My eyes can be
When they cry
You will not be holding my hand
When this body ceases to breathe
But you remember
And I will see you there
You know me endlessly
Reality will conquer the lies
You’ve always told yourself
Just succumb to it
